Edith Marie Waters, age 84 of Morganton, GA, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 in Union General Hospital.
Edith was born Wednesday, December 24, 1924 in Fannin Co., GA, she was the daughter of the late Aurlon Thomas and Myrtle Ware Thomas. Waters was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother not only to her family but to every one she new. She enjoyed her dogs, birds, gardening, and gospel music. she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Surviviors include; daughter(s); Joyce Waters, Joan Waters-Drobinski, brother & sister-in-law, Ken & Becky Thomas, brother-in-law & wife, Loys & Mazie Waters, sister & brother-in-law, Inez (Betty) & Bill Wright, grandson(s) & wife(s); Mike & Lynn Waters, Bobby & Beth Waters, Danny & Heather Watson, David & Cindy Landen, granddaughter, Angi Waters, great-granddaughter(s); Andrea Landen, Chloe Waters, Jade Waters, Juniper Waters, Lily Waters, Juliet Waters, great-grandson(s); Cooper Waters, Sam Watson, Micheal Waters, Ben Watson, nieces & nephews; Charles Fain, Franklin Wright, Dewayne Thomas, Ricky Burgess, Rex Burgess and Ray Mull. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Waters .
Services will be held at Henry Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Wednesday July 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Tim Garrett and Dr. Thomas Draper officiating. Serving as pallbearers are: Charles Fain, Franklin Wright, Dewayne Thomas, Ricky Burgess, Rex Burgess and Ray Mull.
The family will recieve friends Tuesday, July 07, 2009 from 5:00-9:00 pm at the at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, Blue Ridge.
Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park, Blue Ridge, GA.
