Edith Norton

Edith Odell Norton, 94, of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Ellijay, GA. Edith was born May 27, 1930, in Blue Ridge, GA to William and Lou Vada Patterson.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Norton; father, William Patterson; mother, Lou Patterson; sister, Jewel Dale; and brothers, Walter Patterson, James Patterson and Johnny Patterson.

She is survived by her son, Ray (Kathy) Norton; sisters, Shirley Boatfield, Evelyn (Jim) Gilliland, and Lois Worley; brother, Lewis (Mary) Patterson; grandchildren Crystal Norton and Ty Cargile; and great-grandchildren, Kyler Norton and Paisley Cargile.

She was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church.

Funeral Service, on Friday February 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home & Crematory Blue Ridge Chapel with Pastor Glen Arnold officiating. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kyler Norton, Andy Morgan, Jeff Boatfield, Joe Adams, Wesley Patterson, and Jamie Gilliland. 

Honorary pallbearer, Jeff Harris.

Interment will follow at Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA.
