Mrs. Edith Marie Williams, age 67, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away at her home after an extended illness, on Wednesday night, March 31, 2011. Edith was born on December 27, 1943 to Mr. Oren Dale and Mrs.Cleo Bruce Dale in Polk County, TN. She was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church. Edith was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and one of her many passions in life was her love of singing.
Edith was survived by her husband, Gary Williams of Mineral Bluff; son, Van Williams of Mineral Bluff, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Eric & Holli Williams of Mineral Bluff, GA; and daughter & son-in-law, Amy & Dean Bryant of Mineral Bluff, GA; brother, Harold Dale of Kingston, TN; Jean Anderson of Blue Ridge, GA; Marilyn Seabolt of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Carroll Dale of Knoxville. TN; Roger Dale of Valrico, FL; grandchildren, Cory Bryant, Cayley Bryant, Bretton Williams and Cadan Williams.
The funeral service was held 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lori Etheridge officiating. Music was provided by Austin and Edward Vest. Serving as pallbearers were Cory Bryant, Kerry Hicks, George Dillard, Jubal Stymus, Bee Hicks, and Drew Dillard. Honorary pallbearers were Bretton and Cadan Williams.
Burial took place at Crestlawn Cemetery.
