The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith G. Mull, age 90, who passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2016.
Edith was born on June 18, 1926 in Ohio to Ralph and Georgia Gribble. She had one brother Earl and a sister Lucille, whom also later became her sister-in-law. Edith spent the majority of her adult life on the farm she and her husband Paul produced together on Bell Creek. She loved to grow a garden, tend to her flowers, cook, and quilt. Edith was simple, kind, and above all, a true picture of a Christ-like, woman. She attended Lower Bell Creek Baptist Church. Her immense amount of faith in prayer and the Lord was contagious.
Edith will be dearly remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her family. Sister, Lucille Mull, two nieces, Carol Kuykendall and Janie Blythe, great- nieces Candice Thompson, Leslie Dyer, and Kim Phillips, great-nephew Perry Kuykendall and many other great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with Rev. Bryan Satterfield officiating. Music will be presented by The Hunter Family. Edith had a love for children, especially the following pallbearers she had the pleasure of watching grow into such remarkable young adults: Tristin Dyer, Savanah Dyer, Austin Arrowood, Bridget Idzik, John Idzik, and Thomas Idzik. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee.
