Edgar James Morrow

June 28, 1941 — August 30, 2018

Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. Edgar J. Morrow, age 77, of Morganton, Georgia, who passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.

Mr.Morrow was born on June 28, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late Robert (Bob) and Theresa Buono Morrow (Angelier). Mr. Morrow was of the Catholic Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his half brother, Daniel Angelier of California. Ed loved antique cars - hot rods - and was quite good in restoring them. Actually he was very good! He loved taking care of his home.

Although he was born in Washington, DC, from the age of six he lived his whole life in Safety Harbor and Clearwater, Florida. He went to Tampa College and St. Petersburg Junior College for three years, after serving in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force Reserves. He retired from Florida Gas Transmission/Enron Corporation, after 43 years of service, and moved to Blairsville in 2005, where he built his dream home.

He will be warmly remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his family: his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy Morrow; daughter, Pamela Ann Smith, of Largo, Florida; his two step-sons: Mark Lee and his wife Michele, of Clearwater and Michael Lee and his wife Jackie, of Brandon, Florida; his brother, Bobby Morrow of Inverness, Florida; sister Ann Langley of Maryland; half-sisters: Mary Ann and Hazel Ann, both of Safety Harbor, Florida; four grandchildren: Austin, Garrett, Dalton, Caiden, and nephews: Will Langley, and nieces, Brenda and Monica.
