Earlene Mashburn

Earlene Dockery Mashburn, age 78, passed away on October 10, 2024 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Earlene was born on July, 06, 1946 to the late Eddie and Evelyn Prince Dockery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lewis Mashburn; son, Nathan Mashburn; daughters, Lola Ledford and Brittany Flowers and daughter in law, Melissa Mashburn. 

Earlene truly had a love for children and that love transcended to many foster children. She enjoyed walking in God's beautiful creation of nature and found great pleasure in fishing. Earlene was very talented in making beautiful lace leather wallets and was very accomplished at sewing. She was faithful to her God and her church. 

She is survived by her sons, Charles Richard (Ricky) Mashburn, Brock Flowers and Derek Mashburn; daughters, Cindy Mashburn, Denise (Richard) Merrell, Sherry Mashburn (Jeremiah Greene), Stephanie Funez, Whitney (James) Barrilleaux, Jaylynn Flowers, and Dadrian Flowers. Son in law, Ronnie Ledford; sisters, Joan (Charles) McKee and Carolyn (late Everett) Rhodes; brothers, Jerry Dockery (Charlotte) Dockery, Earl (late Brenda) Dockery, and Shannon (Carey) Kinser. Many other relatives, grandchildren, and great grandchildren also survive. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 3 p m from the chapel of the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, Georgia with Pastor Jonathan Millsaps officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Sunrise Tabernacle cemetery in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The following will be serving as pallbearers; Adam Powers, Brock Flowers, Ronnie Ledford, Brandon Miller, Austin Wooten and Brantley Merrell; honorary pallbearers are Dadrian Flowers and Michael Merrell. 

The family will be receiving friends at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home 3911 Appalachian Highway, Blue Ridge, Georgia on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 4 p m until 9 p m.
