Dylan Trevor Sharp, age 40, of Ellijay, GA, passed away on August 13, 2020, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta. Mr. Sharp was born on February 22, 1980, in Blue Ridge, GA, to Tommy Sharp and Wynoka Prather Sharp. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Aleen Mull, and grandparents, Bobby & Evelyn Prather. Dylan was a free spirit and an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, canoeing, rafting, hiking, snowboarding, snow skiing, and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed eating pizza and Butterfinger candy bars and pursued wood art in his spare time. Dylan had a love for music and was a musician who played the guitar and drums. He was an accomplished martial artist with a black belt in karate and was the 2017 Judo International Champion in addition to his multiple U.S. Karate Form Championships from 1990 to 1995. He was dearly loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include sons, Isaiah & Cadyn Sharp; father, Tommy (Carol) Sharp; mother, Wynoka Prather (Mark) Chitty; Cadyn's mother, Robin Sharp and daughter Brealyn; sister, Ashley Sharp Godfrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services: Sunday, August 16, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, August 15, 2020, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
