The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death of Mr. Doyle Cliffton Grindstaff, age 76, who died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, September 16, 2013.
Doyle was born in Robbinsville, North Carolina on March 18, 1937. Always a hard worker, logging and hunting, loving life and everyone in it.
Doyle will always be loved and remembered by all who knew him, especially missed by his family: his parents (both deceased) Weaver Williams amd Elda Grindstaff-Williams; his brothers and sisters, Carol Williams, Alene Butler, and (deceased) Mary Phillips, Roy Williams, Billy Jack Williams, Marshall Williams, Ted Williams, and (deceased) David Williams; his children, Jeff Grindstaff, Greg Grindstaff, D.J. Grindstaff, Ryan Grindstaff, Rhonda Garrett, Debbie Bird, Telaka Hollbrooke, and Terry Grindstaff;4 step-daughters, Mary, Marenna, Sandra and Maureen; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; many, many more relatives and friends also share in this legacy.
He loved everyone that ever meant anything to him, he always took care of everyone but himself. In return, he will be loved and remembered until the end. Forever and always in our hearts and memories.
