Dorothy Shelton

Mrs. Dorothy Shelton, age 93, of Suches, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in Crescent, Georgia. Mrs. Shelton was born Thursday, April 3, 1913 in Union County, GA to the late James Arcy Towe and the late Ollie Rogers Towe. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a co-operator of Blue Ridge Mountain Soil & Water Conservation Dictrict. She was preceded in death by husband, Edgar Lee Shelton.

Survivors include: daughters, Shirley Shelton Meers of Suches , GA, Jura Shelton Burt of Tucker, GA, Alean Shelton Roper of Nantahala, NC, Sharlene Shelton Cox of Suches, GA, sisters, Ruth Towe Dyer of Morganton, GA, Viva Towe Morris of Suches, GA, and Bonnell Towe Stepp of Dalton, GA; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Sugarhill Baptist Church with the Reverend Timm Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Thursday, March 22.
