Dorothy Mitchell, age 92 of Blue Ridge, Drive passed away Saturday May 15, 2010. She was born in Fannin County, GA May 5, 1918 to the late Juan Thomas and Letha Dillinger Thomas. She was a member of Copperhill First United Methodist Church and had been a member of Beulah Chapter Twenty One Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by husband, Roy Mitchell.
Survivors include: son, Tom Mitchell, son and daughter in law, Rev. James and Peggy Mitchell, daughter in law, Lynda Mitchell, grandchildren, Debbie Lanter, Paul Mitchell, Angie Mitchell and Rhonda Smith, great grandchildren, Maria Bouloukos, Alex Bouloukos, Rachel Lanter, Carrie Lanter, Wesley Lanter.
Funeral services: will be held Monday, May 17, at 11:00 AM from the Finch Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Sarver, Rev. Jennings Neeld and Rev. Max Caylor officiating. Music will be by Edward and Jerry Sue Massengale. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Paul Mitchell, Jeff Lanter, Larry Thomas, Gary Thomas, Barry Thomas, Travis Goss and Wayne Brooks. Honorary Escort: Members of the Beulah Chapter Number Twenty One Order Of Eastern Star, Dr. Gary Hunt and Doyce Loudermilk.
