Mrs. Dorothy Lee Ramey, age 69 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at Union General Hospital.
Mrs. Ramey was born Wednesday, May 10, 1939 in Lee Co., VA to the late Rosco and Nora (Duncan) Reynolds. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Owenby.
Survivors include: husband, Leon Ramey of Young Harris, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Terry and Pansy Ramey of Jonesboro, GA, son-in-Law, Robert Owenby of Dahlonega, GA, grandson, Dylan Owenby of Young Harris, GA, granddaughter, Kayla Owenby of Young Harris, GA, granddaughter, Jessica Ramey of Jonesboro, GA, grandson, Jake Ramey of Jonesboro, GA, sister, Gladys Stableton of Jonesville, VA, sister, Reba Loudon of Milford, OH.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Old Brasstown Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. Billy Stiles officiating. Music will be provided by Ryan Wilson. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Marty Roberts, Reggie Register, Terry Roberts, Ronnie Shook, Wayne Rogers, Greg Oliver. Honorary pallbearers include: Marty Roberts.
The family will receive friends at Old Brasstown Baptist Church from 6 until 9 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2008.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
