Mrs. Dorothy K. Padgett, age 98, of Key Largo, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Blairsville at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Padgett was born in Oklahoma on July 16, 1918, a daughter of the late Leslie Case and the late Mabel Bates Case. She was a homemaker and had been preceded in death by her husband, Christian Joseph Padgett, and a daughter, Patricia Y. Crutchfield. Mrs. Padgett was a strong-willed woman, and raised her family through some very hard times. She was known for having a personality that was bigger than life, and someone who always believed in her children and her grandchildren. She will be loved, missed, and remembered by all she touched during her life's journey.
Surviving family members include two daughter, Christine J. Padgett and Barbara K. Whitaker; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
