Dorothy June Dillard

Dorothy June Dillard, age 79 of Morganton, was called home to be with her Lord, Monday January 16, 2017 from her home. June was born February 19, 1937 in Murphy, NC to the late Rollin and Lou Martin Taylor. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. June enjoyed bowling, cooking, sewing, riding horses and spending time with her family. She also worked for Levi's in Blue Ridge for 13 years. June was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Lee Dillard, son, Terry Dillard, brothers, Rollin Taylor Jr., James Oakland Taylor, Lewis Hamilton Taylor, Robert Lon Taylor and Kermit Taylor, sisters, Norma Lee Jones and Mary Ruth Chastain.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wynn and Brenda Dillard, daughter, Dalila Teresa Dillard, daughter, Bobbie Samantha Lynn Wallace, brother, Thomas Taylor, sister, Bobbie Ellen Swartz, grandchildren, Heather Bain, Susan Kennedy, Samantha Brown, Carrie Roberts, Amanda Cochran, Courtney Watters, Shawn Paul Dillard Ralston and Stephen Michael Ralston. 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survive.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in honor of June .
