Dorothy "Dot" Hardeman

Dorothy "Dot" Marie Hardeman, 96, of Mc Caysville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at her residence in Mc Caysville. Dot was born September 25, 1926, in McCaysville, GA to Charles and Nola Tipton. Dot was preceded in death by husband of 48 years, Alvin Hardemen; father, Charles Tipton; mother, Nola Tipton; brothers, Earl, J.B., Perry, Dwight, Joe Tipton and sister, Mildred Ledford. She is survived by her daughter Deanne (Sammy) Ledford; daughter Susan (Joe) Crawford; granddaughter Terri Ledford; grandson Sammy Ledford; granddaughter Kim (William Butts) Jones; grandson Jeff (Monica) Crawford; granddaughter Joley (Kane) Strickland; great-grandchild Barron (Alyssa) Adams; great-grandchild Brittany Lindsey; great-grandson Adam (Ellie) Jones; great-granddaughter Hannah (Jordan) Jekel; great-granddaughter Josh (Kelsie) Ledford; great-grandson Timothy Ledford; great-grandson Corey Crawford; great-granddaughter Reyd Strickland; great-grandaughter Hayden Strickland. She is also survived by her great-great-grandchildren; Jenny Young, Brody Adams, Mason Jekel, Jayden Jekel, Layla Jekel, Bella Jekel, Azalee, Ledford, Scarlette Ledford, Riggs Adams, Trace Billy, Kellie Adams, Tobias Leford, Toccoa Jones, and Remi Hite.

Dot loved her family deeply and enjoyed time spent with them. She loved church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Dot was involved in sports from childhood and was inducted into the Fannin County Sports Hall of Fame. 

Funeral Service, on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Kingtown Baptist Church Cemetery, McCaysville, GA. with Rev Joey Buchanan and Rev Gary Parris officiating. Music provided by Jennifer McDaris. 

The great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory, Monday, March 6, 2023, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
