Dorothy Ann "Dot" Petty

August 29, 1927 — July 16, 2015

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Petty, age 87 of Blue Ridge, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Copper Basin Medical Center. Mrs. Petty was born August 29, 1927 in Dickson County, Tennessee to the late Horace A. Byrn and the late Willma Corlew Byrn. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill, she was preceded in death by husband, Forrest T. Petty and one brother, John Byrn.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, John M. (Belinda) Petty of Turtletown, daughter, Cathy B. Petty of Clarksville, TN, one brother, Joe Byrn of Clarksville, TN, five grandchildren, Michael and Jeffrey Petty, Jared Snyder, Logan Snyder, and Megan Snyder and one great-granddaughter, Emma Hodge.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Jennings Neeld and Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Petty, Jeffrey Petty, Jared Snyder and Logan Snyder.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday.
