Doris Krautler

Doris Ruth Krautler, age 100, passed away on May 30, 2024. Doris was born on February 21st, 1924 in Okeechobee, FL to the late Early Douglas and Lottie Douglas.

Doris was known for her dedication to her work with young children. As a Sunday school teacher and as a paraprofessional, she touched the lives of many students with her nurturing spirit and warm smile.

Outside of her career, Doris had a variety of interests that brought her immense joy. She had a deep love for her Lord and Church, finding solace and comfort in her faith. A master seamstress, Doris used her talent to create beautiful pieces and even shared her skills by teaching others how to sew.

One of Doris's favorite pastimes was fishing, a peaceful activity that allowed her to connect with nature. She also enjoyed spending time with children, always emphasizing the importance of Jesus's love for them. Whether it was swimming, water skiing, or simply engaging in lively conversations as she filled the room with contagious laughter wherever she went, Doris cherished every moment spent with loved ones.

She is survived by her children Mark (Jenny) Krautler and Frank V (Patricia) Krautler III; daughter-in-law, Beverly Lynn Krautler; grandchildren Meredith Krautler-Klemme, Laran Krauer, Jonathan Krautler, Douglas Krautler, Charles Krautler, and Robbin Ann Krautler.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank V. Krautler Jr.; her parents Early Douglas and Lottie Douglas; and son Robert Michael Krautler; and infant daughter Doris Ann Krautler.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA at 3:00 pm with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, at Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA from 2:00-3:00 pm.

Burial will take place at a later date in Pinecrest Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
