Doris Elizabeth Pless Williams

Doris Pless Williams, age 79 of McCaysville, passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Doris was born Wednesday, May 15, 1929 in Fannin County to the late Mariman Lee Pless and the late Bessie Marie Ware Pless. She was a homemaker and a member of McCaysville Copperhill First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, D. B. Earl Williams.

Survivors include: son, Walter Lee Williams of Brierfield, Ala., son, James Earl Williams of Enterprise, Ala, sister, Dorothy Griggs of McCaysville, granddaughter, Kristen Williams, granddaughter, April Yates Thrasher, grandson, Daniel Williams, grandson, Earl Williams, granddaughter, Denise Williams Blevins, great-grandson, Houston Thrasher, great-granddaughter, Haley Thrasher, great-granddaughter, Karly Thrasher, great-grandson, Landon Deason, great-grandson, Tyler Williams, great-granddaughter, Paige Williams, great-grandson, Kyle Williams, great-grandson, Craig Blevins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 11:00AM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Terry Reamsnyder and Reverend and Garry Barber officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Sunday, September 14, 6-9 PM.
