Donna Kay Roper

Donna Kay Roper, age 57 of Topton, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Murphy Medical Center. Donna was born June 3, 1960 in Andrews, NC to the late Ray Keith Postell and Shirley Owenby Postell. A member of Fairview Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her father, Ray Postell and her husband, James Thomas Roper. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

Survivors include her mother, Shirley Postell, son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Krista Roper, daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Kelly Daniels, sister and brother-in-law, Patty and David Postell, four grandchildren, Chelsea Daniels Mathis and husband Dakota, Liam Daniels, Thatcher Daniels, and Mason Daniels, one great-grandchild, Lilah Mae Mathis and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Red Marble Baptist Church with Rev. David Postell officiating. Music provided by Darrell and Pam Warlick. Interment will follow in the Bethel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Nathan Postell, Justin Postell, Jason Postell, Kenneth Freeman, Lawrence Freeman, Boyd Trantham, Keith Owenby, Bobby Owenby, and David West.

The family will receive friends at the Red Marble Baptist Church of Andrews, Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted or you may make a donation in Donna's name to your favorite charity.
