Donna Jean Bowers

Mrs. Donna Jean Bowers, age 61 of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at home. Mrs. Bowers was born November 28, 1952 in Atlanta, GA to the late Sanford Garrett and Dorothy Rodgers Garrett. She was a member of McCaysville Church of Christ and she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Bowers in addition to her father. Donna enjoyed sewing, making clothes and costumes, uniforms for public service and sports teams.

Survivors include: mother, Dorothy Rodgers Garrett, daughter, Kim (Keith) Hyatt, son, Chad (Hollis) Bowers and daughter Rhonda (Alissa) Bowers, brothers Larry Garrett, Tim Garrett, Roy Garrett and Paul Garrett, Grandchildren Austin Bowers, Jared Bowers, Lily Bowers, Garrett Bowers, Zach Hyatt, Kaillee Cantrell, Kristen Cantrell, and Kira Hyatt and special family members Justin & Renee Bramlett, Katelyn, Karly & Conner.

Funeral services: Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Henry-Cochran Chapel with the Minister Bill Johnston and Minister Keith Richie officiating. Music provided by: Lucy McKinney . Interment will follow in the McCaysville Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers: Austin Bowers, Jared Bowers, Jerry Bowers, Jeremy Maney, Steve Hall, Keith Hyatt, Mark Deloach and Chris Graham.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
