Donald Wells

Donald Eugene Wells - dedicated husband, father of two, and friend of many - passed away on February 17, 2023 at the age of 83 in Asheville, NC.
Don is survived by his son Chet and daughter-in-law Amanda of Apollo Beach, FL and son Carlton of Zephyrhills, FL; grandchildren Angelise, Olivia and Cooper. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Cindy, brothers Chester and Doug.
After retiring from Wheelabrator, Don pursued a quieter life in Murphy, NC where he and Cindy enjoyed mountain life. Don was an avid golfer. He loved spending time at Cherokee Hills golf course and playing golf with his buddies around Murphy. He was a huge fan of football - especially the Washington (Redskins) Commanders. Through the years, Don enjoyed spending time in Florida with his family - especially watching his grandkids and boat days out to Shell Key Preserve. Don will be forever missed.

Funeral will be held privately.
