Donald Warren Ellis

Mr. Donald Warren Ellis, age 88 of Blue Ridge, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Mr. Ellis was born October 1, 1924 in Cincinnati, OH . He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Agnes Ellis and a son, Robert Ellis .
He served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1973 where he retired from the Submarine Service and was a torpedo man. He was also a Deputy Sheriff of Seminole County, Fl. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rollins College with a Degree in Criminal Justice.
He is survived by his son, George (Sharon) Ellis, daughters, Mary Ann (Jack) Hubbard; Charlotte Carter, son, Charles Ellis, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 am at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Conway officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA .
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 4:00pm until 8:00 pm.
