Donald Lee Curtis

Mr. Donald Lee Curtis, age 77 of Hayesville, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his home. Mr. Curtis was born January 12, 1938 in Hayesville, NC to the late Fred Roger Curtis and the late Stella Myrtle Sparks Curtis. Don was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church. Don loved farming, camping and fishing. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Curtis

Survivors include his wife, Margie Brown Curtis, brother-in-law, Melvin Brown of Black Mountain, NC, Two God Sons, Talon and Tucker Garrett. and special friends, Dennis and Linda Garrett,

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 1:30 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with the Rev. David Feathers and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Music will be provided by The Golden Sisters. Interment will follow in Bell Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kevin Payne, Dennis Garrett, Billy Garrison, Kevin Garrett, Kenneth Allison, and Doug Queen. .

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, Wednesday, October 28, 2015, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm.
