Donald L. Eslinger, Sr., 89, of Mineral Bluff, formerly of Chatsworth passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He was Preceded in Death by his parents; D.L Eslinger and Monnie Mcintosh.
Mr. Eslinger served in the Army with the 82nd Airborne division. He was a lifelong Farmer and a self-taught guitar player, who played in Nashville with many Opry stars. He loved to race motorcycles and lived for the True Grits 50cc each October.
Mr. Eslinger is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bertha Sue; two Children Donald Eslinger Jr. and His wife Penny of Mineral Bluff, Ga., and Cindi Turgeau and her Husband Maurice of Benton, TN. Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren: Bronson and Katie Bartley of North Port, FL., Harley and Lacy Bartley of Crandall, Ga., Donald Eslinger III of Morganton, Ga., and Tiffany Watson and her husband Mike of Canton, Ga. He was Blessed with 2 Great-Grandchildren; Kash and Carley; One sister Kathyrn Coker, of Dalton, Ga.
There will be a private graveside service at a later date for the family.
