Donald Curtis Roberts Jr., 60, of Murphy, passed away unexpectedly September 4, 2021, at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital. Curtis was born April 24, 1961 in Chattanooga, TN, to Donald and Elizabeth Rash Roberts.
Curtis was a resident of Cherokee County for 29 years having previously resided in Tennessee and Alabama. Curtis was a former independent bail enforcement agent, and was an avid gun enthusiast, and enjoyed working with guns and building them.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, John Roberts, an aunt, Margaret Claire Rash Snyder (Bob), a cousin, John Alan Burkhalter, and a grandson, Skylar Aiden Garrison.
Surviving are daughters, Nikki Roberts and Christie Knowles, grandsons, Benjamin S. Michelsen and James M. Smith, Jr., granddaughter Elizabeth A. Knowles, uncle, Oscar Norwood Rash (Janice), cousins, Trudy Burkhalter McClesky, Jennifer Mary Rash Hill, and Brandon Norwood Rash.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
