Donald Arthur Best

Donald Arthur Best, age 83 of Brasstown, NC, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010. Mr. Best was born May 4, 1927 in Ironwood, MI to the late John W. and Grace Finerty Best. He had been a resident of Cherokee County for the past 12 years moving from Cadillac Michigan where he had worked for many years as the Director of the Cadillac Wexford Public Library. He was a member of the Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church in Young Harris. Mr. Best was preceeded in death by a brother, John W. Best, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Best of Brasstown, NC, daughter, Dorothy Ann Best of Lansing, MI, son, Jonathan Paull Best of Saginaw, MI, daughter, Lucy Elizabeth Best of Brasstown, NC, son, Robert Douglas Best of Marble Hill, GA, brother, Charles Edmund Best of Ironwood, MI and grandcildren, Lacey Suzanne Best-Rowden, Aly Boggs-Smitley and Chase Boggs-Smitley.
