Diane Meek

Mrs. Diane Meek, age 68, of Copperhill, passed away Wednesday evening, August 22, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Meek was born May 6, 1950, in Ducktown,TN, to the late J. B. Sisson and the late Louise Chancey Sisson. She was a member of Mine City Baptist Church where she served as secretary, the Women's Sunday School teacher, and was involved with numerous church functions. In addition to her mother and father, Mrs. Meek is also preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Beatrice and Walter Chancey of Ducktown.

Survivors include: husband, Russ Meek, three godchildren who knew her as Mama Di, numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services: Friday, August 24, 2018, at 5:00 pm at the Mine City Baptist Church with pastor, Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Music provided by: Mary Lou Davis. Burial will be Sunday, August 26, 2018, in the Stanley Cemetery in Union City, TN. Graveside service will be conducted by Rev. David Brown. Pallbearers: Cody Langkawel, Anthony Walden, D.J. Underwood, Craig Green, Trevor Stone, and Burnie Powers. Honorary pallbearers: Hannah Green and Amy Underwood.
