Derrick Shook

Derrick Shook, 59, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. Derrick was born June 17, 1963, in Hiawassee, GA to Cecil and Carolyn Shook.

Derrick was preceded in death by father, Cecil Shook and brother, Stephen Shook.

He is survived by his wife Marsha Shook; daughter Brittany (Derrick) Bradshaw; son Brandon (Brittany Wells) Shook;   grandchildren Skyla Shook,  Madelyn Shook, and Ryleand Shook; mother Carolyn Shook; brother Mark (Kim) Shook; brother Greg (Donna) Shook; and brother Darrell (Shirley) Shook; and several nieces and nephews.

Derrick was of Christian faith and loved his family deeply.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  His pastimes included fishing, hunting, and camping. He was happiest on his track hoe.  Derrick was known as a man with a "heart of gold."

Funeral Service on Monday November 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Many Forks Baptist Church with Mark Shook officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Danny Barnard, Derrick Bradshaw, Ralph Lovell, Colten Shook, Cason Shook, Isaiah Shook, Jacob Shook, Brian Osborn. The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers; Jody Maney, Cliff Shook, and Terry Stroud.

The family will receive friends at Many Forks Baptist Church Monday, November, 28th 2022,  1:00 PM -  2:00 PM.
