Derek is survived by his parents, Peggy Marshall and John Cozart of Young Harris, GA, aunts, Gloria King of Young Harris, GA and Linda and Otis Burdette of Young Harris, GA, uncle, Floyd and Dorothy Marshall of Piedmont, SC, cousins, Kay Hayes of Hiawassee, GA, Sharon Taylor of Ft. Meade, FL, Randy Marshall of Clayton, GA, Ricky Marshall of Piedmont, SC, Melissa Kimsey of Hiawassee, GA and Jason King of Young Harris, GA.
Funeral services for Derek will be held Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Woods Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Moss officiating. Music will be provided by the Moss Family. Pallbearers will be John Ashe, Gregg Taylor, Shannon Moss, Sammy Stamey, Jessie Nicholson, and Trance King. Honorary Pallbearers will be Guy Moss, Marvin Mull, Mark Hooper, Kirt Kimsey, Jason King, Randy Marshall and Ricky Marshall. Interment will follow in Woods Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m.
