Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Dennis Harrell Bradley, age 74, who passed away on August 27, 2021 in Reykjavik, Iceland while on vacation with his beloved wife of 40 years, Beverly Zoe Hensley Bradley. He was surrounded by a loving family.
He was born on March 14, 1947 in Union County, Georgia, Gumlog District to Wayman and Louise Mauney Bradley. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sandy Bradley and brother Kenneth Bradley. Besides his wife, Dennis is survived by his brother Milton Bradley (Kay), sister Janet Harkins (Tony), daughter Melissa Bradley Bishop (Rodney), daughter Stephanie Anderson (Bill), son Andrew Bradley (Chloe); grandchildren: Dallas Davis, Lauren Boyd and Ethan Bradley. He is also survived by numerous neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was the metals teacher and mentor to many students at Union County High School for 30 years. He was a talented artist and accomplished knife maker. His interests included collecting and renovating motorcycles. Dennis organized the North Georgia Motor Cycle Show held in Blairsville for 19 years. He enjoyed gardening and visiting gardens in the USA and Europe. He was an avid traveler and lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends whom loved and admired him. Dennis was a member of First United Methodist Church of Union County, Blairsville, Georgia.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
