Della Wheeler Roach, age 75 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Chatuge Regional Hospital.
Della was born Friday, March 17, 1933 in Towns Co., GA to the late Tom and Era (Youngblood) Wheeler. She was a member of Lower Hightower Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Rachel Roach Pietz of Hiawassee, GA, son, Walter Thomas Roach of Palm Bay, FL, sister, Frankie Dye of Canton, OH, sister, Ruby Abernathy of Sautee, GA, grandsons, Mark Aaron Gibson, Tracy Austin Gibson, and Jackie Barnette Gibson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Banks officiating. Interment will follow in Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Aaron Gibson, Tracy Austin Gibson, Jackie Barnette Gibson, Delaine Bradshaw, Drew Oliver, Ben Brown and Nick Hughes.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 4.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
