Deborah Jane Chastain (Jones)

Mrs. Deborah Jones Chastain, age 64, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her home. Deborah was born August 22, 1946, in Fannin, GA to Ambrose Jones and Kathryn Jones. She was a member of the Epworth First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose & Kathryn Jones, and sister, Ruth Ann Dillard.

Debby graduated from Piedmont Hospital nursing school in 1967. She retired from nursing in 2001 after serving Fannin County at the Health Dept. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Epworth for the past forty years. Her most enjoyable job was being a grandmother.

Survivors include: husband, Ronald Chastain; son, Christopher Matthew (Dee) Chastin; Stacy Aaron (Jenna) Chastain; brothers, Bob and Sam Jones, sister, Becky Williams; grandson, Alex Chastain, granddaughter, McKenzie Chastain, grandson, Crews Chastain, nieces and nephews, Mark Chastain, Joe Jones, George Dillard, Marty Dillard, Tommy Williams, Todd Dilbeck.

Funeral services; Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 3:00 pm from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordon officiating. Serving as Pallbearers: Mark Chastain, Joe Jones, George Dillard, Marty Dillard, Tommy Williams, and Todd Dilbeck. Honorary pallbearers: Interment will be in the Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
