David Scott Camp

Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces memorial services for Mr. David Scott Camp, age 59, of Blairsville, who passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at his home.

Scott was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 13, 1956, a son of the late James Camp and the late Anna Jean Kemp Camp. Scott served in the U. S. Army, and was an avid outdoorsman, who loved nature and wildlife. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing the guitar and appreciated good music and hard work. Scott was a member of Redeemer Baptist Church. He had been preceded in death by a sister, Gina Claire Camp Johnson.

Surviving family members include two step-sons, Troy Heatley, of Blairsville; and Shane Heatley; sister, Anna Camp of Baxter, Tennessee, and sister, Cynthia Camp of Macon, Georgia; nephews, Pete and Paul Brewster also survive.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Schakat officiating.
