The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces Funeral Services for Danny Blythe who passed away on Friday evening, April 24,2020 at his home.

Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 33 years, Melba Hunter Blythe; daughter, Leslie Blythe McCroskey (Stacy) of Hiawassee; daughter, Candice Blythe Thompson (Chad) of Hiawassee; daughter, Davilyn Blythe Brown (Curtis) of Hiawassee; daughter, Dadrian Blythe; daughter, Destiney Blythe of Hiawassee; grandchildren, Savanah Dyer, Tristin Dyer, Ava Thompson. Ellery Thompson, Coen Thompson, Jack McCroskey, CJ Mitchell, and Dusty Mitchell all of Hiawassee; and siblings, Jean Blythe Swartz (Tom) of Blairsville, Wanda B. Charleston (Howard) of Jefferson, Georgia, and Sam Blythe of Blairsville.

A Family Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with Rev. Roger Townley officiating. Special memories will be shared by Jean Blythe Swartz and Candice Blythe Thompson. Music will be provided by the Rumfelt Family. Interment will follow at Bell Scene Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Tristin Dyer, Dwight Swanson, Greg Shook, Travis Swartz, Johnny Shook, and Sammy Blythe. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.

In accordance with CDC guidelines and State/ Local Regulations concerning the COVID-19 Pandemic, Cochran Funeral Homes will be limiting the number of guests inside the funeral home at one time to ensure 6 feet of spacing for public safety and well being.
