Cynthia Gandy

Mrs. Cynthia Elaine Gandy, age 58 of Ellijay, passed away late Monday morning, April 18, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Gandy was born December 25, 1957 in Austell, GA to the late Ted Prichett and surviving Betty Lou Gazaway Pritchett. Cyndi was a member of the Cherry Log Baptist Church. Cyndi would tell you that her occupation was to love others and show passion for God, her family, and her country. She was a woman of great talents including writing, singing, playing guitar, crafting and various art projects, but mostly she will be remembered by her great love for others, her faith in God, and her ability to persevere through life's challenges. No matter what obstacle she faced, she never gave up and continued to trust God, even until the end.

Survivors include: husband, Scott Gandy, daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Leal, son, Jon (Holly) McCall, son, Dakota Duncan; brother, Ted Pritchett, sister, Lynn Vandiver; grandchildren, Bethany Forister, Tyler McCall, Mark McCall, Jessica Leal and Conner McCall.

Funeral service: Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Joey Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherry Log Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Greg Florence, Randy Lingerfelt, Michael Lingerfelt, David Neese, Wayne Pritchett, Ronnie Pritchett, Tim Collins and Tommy Collins.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, April 23, 2016 between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 12 noon.
