Clyde Miller

March 19, 1937 — July 20, 2013

Vunard Clyde Miller, resident of Morganton, Georgia went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2013. He was a Veteran, Mason, Shriner, retired Building Inspector for the City of East Point, and active member of Temple Baptist Church. He passed peacefully in his home with his wife and one of his daughters by his side.

Clyde was born March 19, 1937 in Carroll County, Georgia. He attended Russell High School in East Point and joined the Coast Guard at the age of 17. Clyde worked for the City of East Point for 23 years before retiring to Morganton. In his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering his electrical talents in many Fannin County churches from 1996 until his health failed him last year. He also served every Sunday for 10 years ministering to patients at Heritage Health Care of Blue Ridge.

Clyde is survived by Gail, his devoted wife of 18 years: his younger brother, Jerry: his children, Beth, Tim Mark and his wife Ann, Paul and his wife Rainey, and Emily and her husband Joe; his grandchildren, Dave, Mandy, Ashley, Tiffany, Christian, Nathaniel, Bethany, Noah, Jonah, Katelyn, Philip, Malachi, Rebecca, Eli, Dani, Daniel, Hannah, and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Coby, Titus, Aliza, Haiden, and Isaac; and his nieces, Donna and Joni.

A memorial service was held at Temple Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 23 at 11:00 am with Dr. Roger Beck officiating. Clyde's devotion, laughter, and sense of humor will be sorely missed by both family and church friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Temple Baptist Church Mortgage Loan c/o Temple Baptist Church, P.O> Box 143, Blue Ridge, GA 30513 in memory of Clyde.
