Clyde McCollum

Clyde McCollum, age 52 of Clermont, Georgia passed away August 16, 2011 at North East Georgia Medical Center. Mr. McCollum was born September 30, 1958 in Blairsville to the late Robert & Lola Mae Teague McCollum. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and managing flocks of chickens. Clyde was preceded in death by his Parents and Brothers, Junior & Jack McCollum.

He will be missed by all who knew him, but especially by his family: Loving Wife of 40 Years, Wanda Shubert of Clermont, Georgia; Daughter & Son-in-law, Becky & Larry Thomas of Young Harris, Georgia; Brother, Robert McCollum of Blairsville; Brother, Larry McCollum of Blairsville; Brother, Wayne McCollum of Blairsville; Sister, Vel Hicks of Mableton, Georgia; Sister, Grapelle Partridge of Cornelia, Georgia; Sister, Doris McCollum of Blairsville; Sister, Lynda Timms of Gainesville,Georgia; Sister, Barbara Cooke of Murphy, North Carolina; and Grandchildren, Blade, Angel, Dalton & Matthew Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville on Thursday evening, August 18, 2011 from 6 until 9 p.m.
