Clifford Jon Anderson, 79, of Hayesville, NC, died peacefully at home surrounded at home on January 16, 2018. He was surround by family and friends during his final days. Jon was born August 24, 1938 in Wichita, KS to Clifford Garland and Lucy Elizabeth "Lea," who both preceded him in death.
Jon served in the United States Marine Corps, and following his discharge, attended Wichita State University and Long Beach College before moving to Tampa, FL. There, he worked at the Jim Walter Corporation for 15 years and subsequently had Vice President positions at Key Bank and First Federal Savings and Loan/Freedom Federal Savings and Loan. He retired to Hayesville, NC with his wife, Donna, in 2004 and was an active member of Christ the King Anglican Church.
His interests included playing tennis and golf. He was also an avid antique and book collector who loved to spend time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife and his two children, Karen of Morgantown, WV, and Bryan of Tampa, FL, as well as his siblings Lynn, Judy, Chris, and Stephanie. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3 at Christ the King Anglican Church, where he will be interred.
