Cleaston Jewell Green

Cleaston Jewell Green, age 80, of Blue Ridge passed away Sunday morning February 26, 2017 at the Pruitt Healthcare Nursing Home. Mr. Green was born February 11, 1937 in Fannin County, GA to the late James Jewell Green and the late Hattie Pittman Green. A member and Deacon of Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hattie Green, wife, Mary Postell Green, son, Darryl Thomas Green, daughter, Marilyn Elsie Jeffreys, four brothers and one half-brother, Herbert Green, Verlin Green, Walter Green, Hoyt Green and Raleigh Gray and grandson, Joshua Shane Cole.

Survivors include son, CJ Green, Jr. and his wife Sherry, daughter, Becky Cole Broyles, half-brother, Elmerine Gray, four grandchildren, Amy Green Mason & Chad Mason, Danielle Jeffreys, Maria Jeffreys and Hannah Broyles, Kennedy Mason and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Buchanan and Rev. Jeff Fair officiating. Music provided by Vicki Whittenbarger. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include, Edgar Parks, Kevin Panter, Terry Green, Randy Gray, Chad Mason and Jamie McClure. Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Green, Junior Bowers, Doyle Petty, Paul Millsaps and all male members of Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Monday, February 27, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
