Claudette Chapman Loudermilk, age 83 of McCaysville, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Loudermilk was born December 17, 1934, in McCaysville, GA to the late Roy Chapman and the late Eva Mae Pierce Chapman. Claudette was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville. She was a church choir member and a former member of the Prime Time Choir. Mrs. Loudermilk enjoyed singing, spending time with her grandchildren and family, word searches and puzzles, and her dog Chocco. She was a cheerleader and graduated from McCaysville School in 1954. She later moved to Atlanta, where she raised her family and lived for 38 years. Eventually, they retired and moved back to McCaysville.
Survivors include: husband, George Donald "Don" Loudermilk, daughters, Tamela Loudermilk Vance (Chris) and Deanna Loudermilk Coffield (Kurt), sister, Gilita Carter, brother, Dr. Roy L. (Dianne) Chapman Jr., grandchildren, Kevin Vance, Leslie Vance LaFleche, Paul Vance, Cody Coffield, John Carson Coffield, great-grandchildren, Jude and Benjamin LaFleche, nephews, John and Patrick Chapman.
Funeral services: Monday, February 5, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery.
