Clarence Clay

Clarence Clay, age 92 of Murphy, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2013 at Valley View Care Center. He was born March 16, 1921 in Gadsden, AL to the late Sidney Glenn Clay and the late Etta Mae Lovingood Clay. He was preceded in death by Brothers, Eugene Clay, Harman Clay, Sidney Clay and Doyle Clay.
He was a veteran of the US Army Air Core and had served in the African Theater during WWII.
Survivors include: sisters, Betty Self and Virginia Harper, special nephew and niece, Floyd and Carolyn Self, many other nieces and nephews also survive..


The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tony Self, Christopher Self, Adam Self, Floyd Eugene Humphrey, Joseph Lackey and Ben Gabrielli.
Interment will follow the visitation at Hanging Dog Cemetery.
