Christopher Michael Sneed

Michael Sneed, age 47 of Murphy, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital. Mr. Sneed was born October 28, 1973, in Murphy, NC, to Kathy L. Sneed and the late Bobby L. Garland. A Lifelong resident of the Murphy area, he was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed spending time outside. In addition, Michael was a former owner of Mika's Pizza in Hayesville. His father, Bobby L. Garland, sister, Paula Killian, maternal grandparents, Leonard and Dollie Sneed, uncles Raymond Shields, and Mitchell Sneed preceded him in death.

Survivors include mother, Kathy L Sneed, aunt Joyce Shields, aunt and uncle, Judy and Max Patterson, uncle and aunt, Steve and Sherri Sneed, aunt Marion Sneed and several cousins.

Funeral services: Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel Murphy with Pastor Phillip Cochran officiating. Music provided by: Stephanie Murphy, Brannon, Mark, and Greg Elliott. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jeff Shields, Mitchell Sneed, Jr., Eric Sneed, Stephen Sneed, Christopher Sneed, Brian Sneed, Gary Derreberry and Trent Wilson.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, Sunday, September 26, 2021, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
