Christopher James Dorn

Christopher James Dorn, age 67, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, in Blue Ridge, GA. Christopher was born April 29, 1956, in Norwalk, CT to David and Barbara Dorn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher James "Jamie" Dorn Jr.; brother, Richard I. Dorn; and half-sister, Vickie Dorn. Christopher served in the U.S. Navy and after his military service he worked as a electronics technician as part of the team tasked with developing the LED's for the Hubble Space Telescope, a project he was very proud of. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Dorn; brothers, David (Linda) Dorn and Jon (Dianna) Dorn; mother-in-law, Dolores McKenna; brother-in-law, Sean (Nancy) McKenna; brother-in-law, Thomas (Gail) McKenna; and several nieces and nephews. 

Christopher was regarded by those who knew him as a computer "whiz." He also loved the outdoors and working outside and enjoyed going camping and hiking. He was known for being a big fan of the band, The Grateful Dead, and loved listening to their music and attending their concerts. 

The family plans to have a private memorial in the near future.
