Cheryl Minton Weaver

Cheryl Minton Weaver, 78, of Hayesville, North Carolina, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Cheryl was born August 7, 1946, in Norfolk, VA, the youngest of three daughters, to Eldridge and Mary Minton. She was pre-deceased by both of her parents and her sisters Grace Trofe and Rachel Knight.

Cheryl was married to the love of her life Wayne Weaver for 59 years. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Wayne; daughter Tracy Martin and husband Jeffrey; daughter Kristin Bell and husband Geoff; seven grand-children, Elyse Kamen, Gregory Collier, Adam Kamen, Eli Weaver, Zoe Bell, Sarah Martin, Rhiannon Martin; and many adoring nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Cheryl retired from Virginia Beach City Public Schools after 25 years of faithful service.  Cheryl will always be remembered for her unequaled dedication; first as a wife and mother, and then as a treasured friend.  She was a lifelong Good Samaritan who opened her heart and home to so many.  She was the first to organize help for people in need. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering for her children’s numerous school activities, sports, and music interests, various creative arts projects, and even a neighborhood game of Bunco.  She truly enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
