Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Ann Cooper, age 79, of Hiawassee, who passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Chatuge Regional Hospital in Hiawassee.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Baxley, Georgia, a daughter of the late James Clayton Fort and the late Mary Dorcas Killion Fort. She had lived in Hiawassee for 22 years, moving here from Brandon, Florida. Mrs. Cooper was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church and the Mtn. Regional Arts and Crafts Guild.
Surviving family members include her husband, Donald; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Lloyd and Tamara Cooper, of Seffner, Florida; and son, Christopher Allen Cooper, Alto, Georgia; four sisters: Joyce (Samuel) Colding, Naples, Florida; Judith Marie Seleska, of Cornelia, Georgia; Rose Mary Aliff, of Riverview, Florida; Debra (Joe) Long, of Tampa, Florida; Brothers: James Larry Fort of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Clayton Keith (Gail) Fort, of Plant City, Florida; three grandchildren: Ryan, Brent, and Marissa Cooper, all of Seffner, Florida.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Monday, April 17, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee with Rev. Steven Taylor and Rev. Danny Byers officiating. Burial will be in Osborn Cemetery in Hiawassee. The family will meet with friends on Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home in Hiawassee.
