Charles Mason

May 5, 1925 — June 28, 2012

Mr. Charles Mason, age 87 of Atlanta, formerly of Blairsville, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at his home. Mr. Mason was born May 5, 1925 in Lynch, KY to the late Charles Washington Mason and the late Mary Jordan Mason. He was a member of Mt Paran Church of God in Atlanta. Charles was retired from the Lockheed Martin Corporation where he had worked for many years as a quality Control Specialist. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Mason.

Survivors include: wife, Bobbie Hayes Mason of Atlanta, sons, R.E. Mason of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Preston Mason of Atlanta and David Mason of Ridgeland, MS, Brothers, Jud Mason of Lilburn, GA, Ron Mason of Blairsville, GA, and Robert Mason of Buford, GA, sisters, Leah Stebbins of Kennesaw, GA, Patricia Bowen of Smyrna, GA, Frankie Swanson of Augusta, GA, Austell Woody of Blairsville, GA and Nina Owenby of Covington, GA, grandchildren, Chris Mason, Dillon Mason, Celia Mason, Todd Chamberlain, Lisa Chamberlain and Chastity Mason along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home with Dr. Kent Hawkins officiating. A eulogy will be provoded by Mr. David Mason. Interment will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Saturday, June 30, 2012 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

Flowers are accepted, however, if you wish, you may donate in honor of Mr Mason to Oral Roberts University.
