Charles was born December 27, 1944 in Cherokee, NC, to the late Bobby and Mabel Roberts Mashburn. He was a member of Ogreeta Baptist Church and was a logger.
Surviving are his wife, Ora Lee Mashburn of the home, son & daughter-in-law, Tim & Bobbie Mashburn of Murphy, daughter & son-in-law, Pam & Joe Lanphere of Murphy, sister, Marie Fenstermaker of Cumming, GA, brother & wife, Robert & Susan Mashburn, sister & husband, Martha & Joe Harris, brother & wife, Anthony & Peggy Mashburn, sister, Frances Lovingood all of Murphy, NC, grandson, Andrew Lanphere, granddaughter, Elizabeth Lanphere, grandson, Dalton Mashburn, granddaughter, Taylor Mashburn, good friend, Bill Gardner of Hendersonville, NC, good friend, Phillip Farmer of Murphy, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7 P.M.at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence English and Rev. Raymond English officiating. Gravside services will Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 2 P.M. in the Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Brain Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Travis Mashburn, Ryan Mashburn, Chucky Lovingood and Jason Mashburn. Honorary pallbearers include: Bill Gardner, Phillip Farmer and Ray Sizemore.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 04, 2010 5 - 7 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Murphy, NC.
