Charles Leon King

Mr. Charles Leon King, age 84 of Morganton, passed away December 7, 2015 at his home . Mr. King was born July 1, 1931 in Blairsville, GA to the late Jessie Victor King and the late Vinnie Mae Plott King. A member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine King.

Survivors include: son's, Allen (Tina) King and Herbert (Joyce) Keller, daughter's, Missy King Welborn, and Amanda (Dottie) King, grandchildren, Gracie King, Tori Welborn, Morgan Welborn, Nina Lee, Adam Keller, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brandon Gamel, Brian Gamel, Tommy Gamel, Tony Harkins, Michael Holmes, Junior Phillips.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Thursday, December 10, 2015, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
