Charles Herman Cobb

Charles Herman Cobb, age 85 of Morganton, passed away November 8, 2012 at Union General Hospital. Mr. Cobb was born May 21, 1927 in Fannin, Ga. to the late Lewin Wilford and Marie Point Cobb. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of Morganton Masonic Lodge, a US Army Veteran serving in Europe during WWII. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming.

Survivors include: wife, Jessalean "Jessie" Cobb, children, Jimmy (Raylene) Cobb, Cindy (Danny) Davenport, Thyra (Steve) Wilson, Charles Howard Cobb, grandchildren, James H. Wilson, Jeremy S. Wilson, Charlotte Long, Dannon Davenport, Shannon Davenport, Jason Cobb, Brittany Cobb, and eighteen great grand grandchildren.

Funeral services: Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music provided by Marilyn Thomas. Interment will follow in Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery. Requested pallbearers are; James H. Wilson, Jeremy S. Wilson, Jason Cobb, Joshua Cobb, Tyler Bradburn and Austin Bradburn.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
