Charles L Harper, 91, of Copperhill, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Charles was born June 10, 1931, in Copperhill, TN to Hadley and Rose Harper.
Charles was preceded in death by spouse, Mary Harper; mother, Rose Harper; father, Hadley Harper; son, Lloyd Harper; son, Charles Harper; son, Randy Harper; son, Douglas Harper; daughter, Sharon Terrell. He is also preceded in death by two grandchildren and two great-grand daughters.
He is survived by his son Leanord Harper; daughter Angela Harper and Tina Allen, seventeen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by many sons and daughters in laws.
He was of the baptist faith and enjoyed singing gospel and bluegrass music. Charles especially loved signing and playing music with his family. He never met a stranger and was known by many in the community particularly his days on the radio.
Charles served in the the US Army during the Koren War Conflict. He was crowned Mr. Bluegrass in the Nashville, Tennessee. He played with many entertainers during his time in Nashville.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Finch Cochran Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pan Will Cemetery in Mineral Bluff, Georgia.
The Family will receive friends at Finch Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
