Charles Edward Fain, age 90 of Morganton, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at his home. Charles was born July 27, 1927 in Morganton, GA to the late Ephraim Prince Fain and the late Omi Dillard Fain. He attended New Hope Baptist Church and he owned the Morganton Music Park for 33 years. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, dancing and listening to blue grass music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Bachelor, Lois Clore and Trix Mozell-Jones, and brothers, Norman Fain, twins, Wayne and Wyman Fain, Jack Fain and Harold Fain.
Survivors include: wife, Carolyn Bearden Fain, daughter, Toni (Donnie) Cannon, daughter, Brenda Stewart, step-daughter, Lisa Jenkins, brothers, Joe Fain, Bob Fain, Allen Fain and Frank Fain, six grandchildren, Randall Eaves, Tonya Sanders, David Davenport, Mary Davenport-Sandifer, Charles Stewart and Lacey Jervis, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Allen Fain, Randall Eaves, David Davenport, Jr., David Davenport, Sr., William Sanders and Blaine Sanders.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, Thursday, October 26, 2017, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
